How We Started:
We are two nerds of a kind. Together we would find ourselves having long drawn out conversations about TV shows, different anime and manga, or books that we've read. Usually these discussions/ debates would go on for hours. Many times they would go on until the next day. Not only did we have these discussions between each other, but we found that many of our friends also spent a lot of time talking to us about it too.
So we decided...Nerds & Geeks Unite!! And created a healthy medium for us, fans, to discuss and/or debate topics of interest relating to what we enjoy most.
Why RiceBall?
We are heavy Japanese anime fans. Just like American TV there are many different genres to anime. However, regardless of the different genres the rice ball seems to always remain constant. It is the one thing in each show that is universal. The rice ball may be a small aspect to the story, but it is always there, on the journey. Also, the rice ball is never the same. Because there are so many variations you never know what to expect until you bite in. This is what we hope to bring here. Different opinions and perspectives about today's nerd culture that's shared by a variety of fans, just like you.
The rice ball represents our take on life, culture, and entertainment. As we sit as spectators to the world around us, we want to show how beautifully animated it all can be. Just like the notable omnipresence of the rice ball, we will watch, read, play and engage to not only share our insight and experiences, but to also connect with the fellow nerds around. As stated above, this is a blog from a fan to a fan. So grab a rice ball, and remember, to always feed your animation.
